And in order for students to HAVE a life of divine success they must first DO the diligent work it takes to gain 21st century real world skills required to advance in a competitive world. As a result, your child must BEcome a Reader.

About the program:
What reading skills will my child add to their existing education skillset?
Well, the reading curriculum is designed for students between the ages of 10 and 15 years old (but we believe even older students and advanced younger upper elementary students would benefit, with your guidance, from this literacy program.)
As a former public school educator and current founder of Ahead Of The Curve Homeschool Academy students Mrs. Modeste has doubled reading confidence and level in 12 weeks.

Mrs. Modeste is a former classroom teacher turned homeschool mom and now business owner. She is a reading specialist who teaches students how to discover the joy and power of reading and learning as director of the Ahead Of The Curve Homeschool Academy.
After 20 + years of teaching reluctant readers in public, private, and homeschools, she realized students lacked strong reading skills and strategies.
Her students from the elementary to college level hit a plateau in their academic achievement in part to a lack of literacy training.
Consequently, she created the BE-Readers program to address poor comprehension.

4-Step Reading Framework
When we work together your child will grow their reading confidence with the following framework:
Step #1 Focus
Students will learn focus techniques to read long fiction and nonfiction narratives.
Step #2 Fluency
Students will learn how to read literature accurately and with appropriate speed.
Step #3 Comprehension
Students will build comprehension skills with active reading stategies.
Step #4 Retention
Students will be trained on how to create a working memory for later content retrieval.

12 weeks of LIVE Instruction in systematic academic vocabulary development, reading and analysis of high quality literature, and writing skills. Students will become more confident readers as their conversational and academic language expands through reading and vocabulary exercises.

Mrs. Modeste's multi-age group from grades 5th-8th in her daytime homeschool program has proven to raise reading levels and engagement.

Also, reading resources will be accessible 24/7 as long as your child is enrolled in the program.
